Misplaced boy survives 5 days in Zimbabwe park filled with lions

A seven-year-old boy was discovered alive after being misplaced for 5 days in a reserve that homes lions and different wild animals in northern Zimbabwe, the wildlife authority stated Friday.

The boy wandered into Matusadona Nationwide Park close to his village on Dec. 27 and was discovered 5 days later and about 50 kilometers (about 30 miles) away, ZimParks spokeswoman Tinashe Farawo stated.

He survived on wild fruits and water he discovered by digging on a riverbank, a method recognized in drought-prone areas of Zimbabwe, Farawo stated in an announcement.
